No final da manhã desta quarta-feira, 31, soldados do Batalhão de Choque da PolÃcia Militar (BPChq) entraram em confronto com quatro homens durante uma troca de tiros em Itabaiana, distante 56 quilômetros de Aracaju. A troca de tiros aconteceu na rodovia BR-235, durante uma tentativa de abordagem ao veÃculo em que os supostos infratores estavam. Além de quatro armas, eles levavam 500 gramas de cocaÃna.
Segundo o comandante do Batalhão de Choque, tenente-coronel Adolfo Menezes, os militares dirigiam-se ao interior do Estado com o intuito de efetuar reforço no policiamento ostensivo, quando receberam informações de que haviam quatro suspeitos armados a bordo de um Fiat Uno, cor branca e placa HZC-5072.
Nas imediações do povoado Cafuz, em Itabaiana, a equipe se deparou com o veÃculo suspeito. “Os militares interceptaram o carro e ordenaram que o condutor parasse. Os quatro homens que estavam a bordo deflagraram disparos contra a viatura policial. De imediato houve revide e os quatro suspeitos foram atingidos”, informou Adolfo.
Os quatro homens foram encaminhados para atendimento médico no Hospital de Urgência de Sergipe, mas não resistiram aos ferimentos e morreram. Dois dos criminosos foram identificados como Ronaldo Carmo dos Santos, 21 anos, e Fábio Nunes Melo, 28 anos. Os outros dois ocupantes do veÃculo não foram identificados, pois estavam sem documentação.
Três revólveres calibre 38, uma espingarda cano curto calibre 22, e munições intactas e deflagradas foram apreendidos. No veÃculo foi encontrado, ainda, meio quilo de cocaÃna, dois aparelhos celulares e R$ 1.050,00 em dinheiro. O veÃculo, que estava com os criminosos, placa HZC 50-72, era de origem da capital alagoana Maceió.
“A população nos ajudou muito, pois denunciou a presença de um veÃculo com pessoas armadas viajando em direção a Aracaju. No momento da abordagem os suspeitos dispararam contra os policiais que revidaram. Infelizmente os quatro integrantes foram atingidos e não resistiram aos ferimentos. Vamos agora tentar descobir quem eles são e o que pretendiam fazer”, acrescentou o tenente-coronel.
